Good Reading

Good morning,

I really loved the reading on Friday night. Sometimes, it’s not about the words on the page as much as the feelings from the words on the page. I loved what I felt when we were reading those pages.

So many things stood out to me. The second paragraph on page 2 really packed a punch! (But the whole top half of page 2 is so good)! You wrote:

“The holy Spirit is God’s answer to everything human. It is the answer to all that is wrong with you and all that you think is right with you. The Spirit of God was not sent to us to take sides; it was sent to take over – completely! And all the options that Christianity provides to walking in the Spirit are slanderous lies against the One who sent it. That is why God’s children around the globe keep hearing a “still, small voice” whisper in their ear, “Come out of her, my people.” God is not calling His children out of the world; they are already out of the world. He is calling them out of the institutionalized slander they have joined, and into his pure, eternal life.”

That is so true! The holy Ghost is the answer to everything! Yet, slander against the One who sent the holy Ghost has tried to convince us that we don’t even need it! As a matter of fact, in all my years in Christianity, I never once heard that there was such a thing as being baptized with the holy Ghost! Many of us sat in congregations for years and were offered any and everything except the joy and peace of being filled with the Holy Ghost and walking in that! We were told that baptism with water was the One baptism and that was all we needed. We were told that if we repeated a few scriptures and “accepted Jesus” as our Lord and Savior, then we were saved and not to dare let anyone make us doubt that! We were told that when we drank a little cup of grape juice and ate a small, dry cracker that we were having communion with the Father! We were told not to go by our feelings. We were taught that the Bible was the word of God! We were taught that the Father and His Son were part of a divine trinity wherein they were separate and they were one, all at the same time. It was total confusion! And it was all lies. It really was institutionalized slander! Slander that was intended to come between us and our Father! Those rituals and doctrines only served one purpose, and that was to take the place of the real relationship we can have with Jesus through the holy Ghost. The holy Ghost is everything! If that’s left out, then Jesus can be nothing more to us than an unattainable being who lives far away in the sky.

What if we had been satisfied with calling the crackers and grape juice our communion with Jesus? What if we had believed that sprinkling some water on a baby’s head or dunking someone in a dirty river was the One baptism that Paul talked about in Ephesians 4? What if we had remained in those pews for all those years like dead men walking?

But so many of us felt that there must be more to Jesus than the dead rituals and doctrines we were experiencing in Christianity. And with a sincere heart, we took this simple thought to Jesus, “There has to be more to You than this”. And little did we know that Jesus was just waiting for us to come to Him with that thought! By being open and sincere with Jesus, He was able to show us (through His Spirit), that there really is so much more to Him than the dead rituals and false doctrines of Christianity. He gave us the truth by leading us to a place where we could be fed good, clean food that leads to “pure, eternal life”.

Thank you for feeding us more good, clean food through this writing! I know it has taken hours and hours to get it all down, but I’m hoping a sincere heart who is still inside those walls of institutionalized slander will read these pages, and then feel free to go to Jesus with the questions he’s had in his heart. He’s waiting…

I’m looking forward to reading the next section (or rereading this one)!

What’s Going on Right Now

Pastor John,

I was thinking today about what sister Natalie said, about the person she used to be before Jesus came and filled her with the holy Ghost, “You can dig up that old girl but you can’t make her live!”

It occurred to me that there are many ways that ungodly spirits of this world are trying to “dig up the flesh” of God’s people and “make it live.” It is all over the news and social media. If those spirits can make us leave our hiding spot with Jesus and come back to the flesh, and defend it, then they ARE making it live. And they can overpower us there and disrupt our walk with the Lord.

When we are walking in the spirit of God we are removed from this flesh. We are in an invisible hiding place where spirits wandering this world can’t touch us. But if those spirits can hurt our flesh and provoke us back into it, to try to defend it, then they can reach us. If they can hurt the flesh of people of our race and provoke us, or the flesh of similar social or economic status, or levels of authority, or belief systems, or any other “team” that our flesh is on so that we come back and defend it, then they can get to us. We aren’t stronger than the spirits in this world, we are just hidden. Getting us unhidden is the goal of the ungodly.

Whoever or whatever we are connected to that is not Jesus, is the thing that can draw us out of our hiding spot. Spirits are turning the screws on everything right now searching.

People are being used all over. The unrest, the violence and destruction people are participating in, it is hurting THEM, but they still don’t stop. It makes me sad today for all of the folk being moved like pieces on a game board. None of us are stronger than the spirits in this world that can move us. But God gave us protection, through the Spirit we received. We can stay hidden.

Worldly Unrest

My Dear Pastor John,

I needed to testify what Jesus has done for me in matters regarding the unrest happening in some parts of the United States.

It’s utter foolishness says the Lord smiley face2  For every one atrocity (or fatal accident) there are hundreds of incidents that went without a problem. But, those hundreds don’t get media attention. And, the voice of reason – God and his Son – is so reviled that no peace can be found. I wish His voice could cut through all of this but that’s not His plan I guess.

I have turned off all social media and am staying filled with the Holy Ghost just as He wants me to do!

Brad and I love listening to the slander readings and look forward to the day we can be face-to-face again but are hopefully spirit-to-spirit even though we are miles apart.

With gratefulness and love,

Allison

Amen! This touches me. Allison is choosing what Jesus came to offer all of us. Rest and Peace ( yes capitalized!) from a world that thrives off unrest and chaos. What a beautiful example of Jesus working in the body. This was what was promised us when we took His name. We all have a war out there waiting for us if we choose it. Allison is choosing Jesus and it is beautiful to see.

Slander in the World

Hey John,

In chapter three, you mentioned the three spiritual conditions that have to be present for slander to occur. All of the spiritual conditions are describing children of God. The one doing the slander is defined as the unwise believer (Chapter 2 also calls them the foolish virgins in the body of Christ). But I was thinking on the case of institutionalized slander that is done by Christians who are not necessarily in the body of Christ. That case doesn’t seem to fit the definition of the unwise believer – someone with the holy Ghost.

I do understand how Christian ministers fool the innocent because they claim to be the body of Christ and the innocent don’t know any better than to trust them (i.e., because everybody just “knows” Christianity is the religion of Christ). Is it because the backslidden true body of Christ is entangled in that institution that gives it and its ministers the same effect as of a trusted unwise believer? Or is it that the spirit of Satan (being the original slanderer and unwise believer) is the one behind that religion. I’m trying to make the connection between the institutionalized form of slander and the definitions that you’ve given. Do you explain this in the book?

Thanks,

Lyn

==========

Hi Lyn.

Slander can and does happen in the world at large among sinners. I am concentrating only on how slander works in the body of Christ. I have not made that clear in the book, yet, but I need to. Others have asked about that, as well.

Thanks for bringing it up.

Slander

Sincere hearts.

What Jesus wants is so simple and pure as opposed to that cunning, dark, tangled mess of slander. It really touched me.

Sincere and open hearts, what can stand against them? Not Christianity, not sin, not Satan, not division. The purity of what Jesus wants from us just touches me!

Hi Pastor John,

I was thinking about the emails we have read on slander, and I had a question. I understand in Chapter 3 how ministers (“foolish virgins”) in Christianity with the holy Ghost are slandering Jesus with their teachings about joining a church, water baptism, communion with bread and wine etc.

My question is, are those ministers in Christianity who do not have the holy Ghost slandering Jesus when they teach the same thing as the ministers with the holy ghost? Those ministers do not qualify as foolish virgins, or even as believers, since they have not received the Spirit, and I want a right understanding of how they fit into slander.

Hope this week has been as wonderful as last week!

Love you and your teachings,

Randell

Hi Randell.

Yes, Christian ministers who do not have the holy Ghost are slandering Jesus because Christianity itself is slander against him. That is why God is calling His people out of that abomination.

Thanks for asking.

The Third Kind of Soil

Hi, Pastor John.

I’m sure the lot of us have been reading and listening to the Slander readings and manuscripts. In one recording from the beach, it was said that the “Four kinds of soils” is the most important parable. I can only speak of myself, but the third type of soil is very sobering to any of us that have been around a while. We want to bear fruit and we want to be planted in good soil. We don’t want to be among the slanderers or let foolishness abound in our hearts.

I have a question; maybe others have the same question, and I’m sure you have been asked in the past about this question. We may think you’re okay and doing well, but Jesus weighs the hearts and actions. We may think we know Jesus and may have been around for years, but we read about those in Revelation whom Jesus speaks about “I never knew you”, who have done miracles and mighty works.

My question: If one is in the third type of soil can they be replanted into good soil and bear good fruit? Or, are they “reserved” for the lake of fire no matter what?

I know you preached on Livestream that sincerity is an answer for slander, but if you have slandered someone, is there hope, or, once reserved, always reserved for damnation?

Love always,

Billy

==========

Hi Billy.

All such things are in God’s hands, and I have to believe that, as the saying goes, as long as there is life, there is hope. I think that Solomon said something like that, too, in Ecclesiastes.

Billy, a person can commit a sin without being classified as a sinner. A sinner is someone who lives continually in sin, but even a righteous person can grow weak in spirit and commit a sin (and repenting for it). So, a person could be caught in a weak moment and commit a slander (and repent for it), but that would not make him and a “slanderer” because he doesn’t live that way all the time.

God is able to heal and forgive anybody, even an unwise person who has become a slanderer, but I would not want to be one and then hope He would heal and forgive me.

Hope this answers your question.

We Need the Son

Pastor John,

I told you this the other day but feel like saying it again because Lee Ann’s email reminded me of that comment you said about sunlight being a disinfectant.

A couple weeks back now after reading the “Letter from Jesus” email, then later that day reading through Spiritual Light pages 11-14 with very similar feelings for God’s people….I had to get out for a walk by myself. The feelings were too much for me to hold in. I walked and cried and prayed for our situation and for myself and relationships that may not be right or to show me anything I need to do. It was a heart cry and felt good. I passed Lee Ann’s house and turned to go back home and the warm sun suddenly hit my chilly body after walking in the other direction and I put my arms out and thought, “Oh, this feels so good!”

I immediately heard the spirit say, “You need the Son!” It was the SUN hitting me but I knew that it was about the SON. In that instant I knew that was the answer to everything I was praying about so far on the walk! Reminds me of what you said the other night! Stay in good soil and the sun/Son will help you grow and keep you healthy.

It was so good to me that I looked around thinking someone else must be outside to share this! I got up passed the French house and I heard a bang. I looked over and Richard was out in the backward burning some things and I walked over and told him on that beautiful sunny day, “We need the Son!” Then he told me about the experience with the roots from the plants he got rid of. Then Amy came out and I got to tell it again and it felt just as good! I loved that I was there for him to tell me that and feel it at the time I was feeling what I got. People’s testimonies are valuable to me and Jesus is valuable to me! I need him. He is my answer 🥰

Influences and Slander Message

Hi John,

I love Amy’s email. She is me. I read her email and say, “Yes! This is me!” When I heard Stuart’s testimony, “It’s me! He’s me!” And when you were teaching us about slander Monday night, I was learning more perfectly who I am, who we all are in the body. And how to love each other more perfectly. Thank you for teaching us and loving us.

Donna

============

Hey Good Morning,

I just wanted to say that I loved everything you taught on slander Monday night. I agree that is was so clearly outlined the ways in which the slander can work. I know that I have heard you preach on the slander many times, but it felt more complete in my heart and mind this time. It made me want to search myself, and pray that I have not hindered anyone! I don’t want to be in that position of “not knowing” and not being able to leave because I’m being used as a vessel of dishonor to try other saints.

You said so many good things that I wanted to remember that I was trying to write them down but I could not keep up! I am so thankful for a more perfect understanding of the slanderer and how to not be a part of it, to stay clean and pure. To look out for those roots that are unseen and sowing discord in the heart. To not be swept up in someone else’s wrong thoughts, and to call it out as wrong!

I want to hold on to the love that Jesus gave me from the beginning and keep it alive and let it LIVE!

Thank you for pouring your heart and soul into this work for all of us!

Tina

Influences and Slander Message

Good morning,

All I can say is a big “Amen” to Amy’s email! I really enjoyed reading that this morning.

There was so much love in your message on Monday night. I trembled at the thought that we could become cursed children of God. Cursed with the inability to leave, and instead, be kept around to seduce unstable souls. Whew! I don’t want to be one of those spots and wrinkles among the body who thinks I’m okay when Jesus sees it differently, and he is only keeping me around to try the hearts around me. Oh Jesus! Help me to see myself the way you see me!

But I felt such hope that there is a cure for slander if we have sincerity, and hold on to our first love. You told us a seed of slander won’t grow in good soil! And you reminded us that our safety is in openness. You said sunlight is like a disinfectant! That was so good!

My heart leaped when you said “We’ve been called into fellowship with the Father!” Let me just stop right there and think on that! What a privilege and an honor to have fellowship with the Father! And if I have fellowship with the Father and you have fellowship with the Father, then we can’t help but have fellowship with each other! THAT’S where I want to live. That’s where the peace is. That’s where our safety lies. The slanderer can’t work in that place.

There was so much love in the hours you spent preparing this wonderful message for us; listening to the old meetings and looking up scriptures and making notes. And I know it wasn’t easy on your back to stand on that hard basement floor for so long. Thank you for loving us to do that for us! It was wonderful! I agree with Amy that it was the best you’ve ever explained slander, and I feel better equipped to handle any future situations. When you said “I love you all” at the end, I felt those words were coming from you and Jesus, and I believed it!

I hadn’t planned to write more than an “Amen” to Amy’s email, but I couldn’t help myself! It was just so good to my soul!

Thank you!

Lee Ann
